چکیده

Introduction: One of the most common risks fixed orthodontic therapy is evidence root resorption post treatment ranging from mild blunting to severe significant portions structure. The etiology apical multifactorial but largely depends upon type tooth movement and duration. Study Objective: primary aim this study examine association external vertical correction in anterior open bite malocclusions using panoramic radiographs for evaluation. Materials Methods: Pre-treatment post-treatment 16 patients with were scored assess teeth (U/L 3-3). Initial final length total U/L 3-3 measured on Dolphin imaging. Results: Of 24 pairs measurements, 7 had a p-value (p < 0.05). LR 3, 1. LL 1, 2, 3 demonstrated post-orthodontic treatment. Conclusions: A statistically amount was observed, pre-treatment radiographs. All mandibular except right lateral incisors showed resorption.

Open bite as a risk factor for orthodontic root resorption.

The purpose of the present study was to clarify the prevalence and degree of root resorption induced by orthodontic treatment in patients with and without open bite. One hundred and eleven patients treated with multibracket appliances were retrospectively selected from the patients and divided into non-open bite (NOB) and open bite (OB) groups. The severity of root resorption and the root shape...

Many reports in the literature indicate that orthodontically treated patients are more likely to have severe apical root shortening, interesting mostly maxillary, followed by mandibular incisors. The aim of the study was to investigate the incidence and severity of RR in adult patients treate...

Innovation in prediction planning for anterior open bite correction.

This study applies recent advances in 3D virtual imaging for application in the prediction planning of dentofacial deformities. Stereo-photogrammetry has been used to create virtual and physical models, which are creatively combined in planning the surgical correction of anterior open bite. The application of these novel methods is demonstrated through the surgical correction of a case.

External inflammatory root resorption (EIR) represents a challenge in endodontic practice. EIR commonly occurs after dental trauma that results in periodontal ligament injury, pulp necrosis and subsequent infection.  Treatment of EIR is based on disinfecting the root canal system through chemomechanical procedures and then filling it with calcium hydroxide or triple antibiotic paste. Dental tra...
